Robber strikes again?

A man who robbed the Capac State Bank in Allenton may be the same man who robbed a bank in Bruce Township on Feb. 19.
A man who robbed an Allenton bank on March 3 may be the same man who robbed a bank in Bruce Township two weeks before.

At approximately 9 a.m. on March 3, a white male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and 25-30 years old, passed a note to a teller demanding cash. The man made off with an undetermined amount of money from the Allenton branch of the Capac State Bank.

The suspect, who was wearing a tan jacket, blue jeans and a black stocking hat, was seen leaving in a northerly direction.

The suspect was driving a late Œ90s model light-colored Ford Taurus.

Police suspect the man may be the same man who robbed the MPG Community Credit Union in Bruce Township on Feb. 19.

The description of the man who robbed the Bruce Township bank fit the description of the man who robbed the Allenton bank.

“We think that it is a good possibly it’s the same guy, yeah,” said Macomb County Sheriff Capt. John Roberts. “We are still seeking any information that someone may have to follow up on.”

Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect should call 469-5151, Crimestoppers at 800-SPEAK-UP or the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau at 810-987-1711.
