Hosted at Fountainview Lanes, 34244 Groesbeck in Clinton Township, the May 30 bowling fundraiser promises to be a fun time for families, work groups and the general public alike.

There are 1,142 homeless people in Macomb County every single day, including nearly 200 children. In 2007, Macomb Homeless Coalition’s member agencies serviced more than 3,000 homeless individuals and family members. There is an increase in homeless families seeking shelter due to wage reductions and job loss. The Macomb Homeless Coalition and its member agencies continue to provide needed shelter and services to the homeless through fundraisers such as this.

Tickets for the event are $20 with teams of five assigned a lane. Three games, shoe rental and pizza are included in the ticket price. A Wish Raffle, Mystery Game and 50/50 raffle are planned. Check-in is at 7 p.m., and bowling starts at 7:30 p.m.

Lane sponsorships are available to local businesses for $50, and include continuous scrolling of the business name and phone number during play, as well as open and league bowling before and after the event. Gift certificate donations for the Wish Raffle are also greatly appreciated.
