The final team scores were as follows: Romeo 93; Dakota 79; Marine City 78; Anchor Bay 57; Ford 43; Algonac 40; Yale 30; Warren Mott 23; Lutheran North 11; L’Anse Creuse 10 and Allen Park 1.

The team of Anthony Vultaggio, Josh Eckhout, Sean Simpson and Austin Jackson won the Anchor Bay Tar Race (5:03.7) for Romeo.

The Bulldogs added another first in the distance medley (11.17.3) with the team of Nathan Saliga, Dan Gruzwalski, Nick Jackson, and Steven Saliga. Romeo runners tied for first with Anchor Bay with both scoring 15 points in the cross country 1600 run. Running for the Bulldogs were Nathan Saliga, Gruzwalski, and Nick Jackson.

Eckhout, Christian Pletta, Omar Spratt and Rob Misajlovski were fastest in the 400-meter relay (44.8).

Romeo took first place in the shot put/discus 400 meter exhibition event with the team of Ben Brown, Andy Stebbins, James Ruth and Ben Sobanski (51.6). Shaun Hayes, Luke Humphry and Stebbins combined to win the shot put relay (135.6). Sobanski, Brown, and Ruth finished second in the discus relay (375.2).

Romeo’s Dan Morsches, Austin Jackson, Vultaggio, and Nathan Saliga finished second in the 3200 (8:32.6).

Pletta, Eckhout, Taylor, and Misajlovski finished third in the 800 (1:33.7).

Spratt, Nick Bobek, Josh Balabuch and Kyle Maxwell took fourth in the shuttle hurdle relay (1:09.6).

It was fourth place for the Bulldogs in the sprint medley (2:35.5) with the team of Steven Saliga, Misajlovski, Pletta and Jon Taylor.

Romeo’s Jason Liebenow, Sam Kimpan and Dalton Bradford took a fourth in the pole vault event (28-0). Spratt, Steve Saliga, Nathan Saliga and Pletta finished fifth in the 1600 (3:42.9).

The Romeo team was second in the co-ed medley (4:02.5).

“This was a fun and successful meet for us,” Romeo coach Lew Page said.

Romeo’s next meet is May 6 at home against Chippewa Valley.
