In singles, Jessica Vinckier lost 6-3, 6-2. Katie Adkins won in three sets 6-2, 2-6, 6-4. Stephanie Burlison won 6-0, 6-4. Bridget Putt was defeated 6-4, 7-5.

In doubles, Agatha Kowalewski and Carly Rydquist lost a tough 7-5, 6-7, 7-6 match. Christina Senopole and Cortney Spiegel won in another long match 5-7, 6-2, 7-6. Sarah Schmante and Stephanie Walla won 6-3, 6-1. Jessica Michal and Elizabeth Kraft won 6-1, 6-3.

“This was a tough match,” Romeo coach Mark Dubiel said. “Some went our way and some did not.”

The Romeo golf team defeated the visiting Eisenhower Eagles 172-174 in a match played at the Romeo Golf Course, par 36.

Tyler Heike was the medalist carding 39. Also scoring for the dawgs were Jon Luehmann (42), Dylan Niadra (45) and Ryan Adamczyk (46).

Romeo goes to 1-7 with the victory.
