At around 11 a.m. Sept. 26, a man entered the LaSalle bank, 40950 Van Dyke, which is at the corner of 18 Mile Road.

He approached the counter and handed the teller a note demanding she had all her money over to him, but never said a word.

After receiving an undisclosed of money, the suspect fled the bank on foot in a southern direction, but witnesses did not know if he continued on foot across the shopping plaza or escaped in a vehicle.

An initial check of the area by responding officers came up negative, but officers returned at a later time to show surrounding businesses and employees a surveillance photo of the subject.

Police released the surveillance photo of the subject, who was described as a black male, 5-foot-8 inched to 6-foot-3-inches, thin to medium build, with dark skin and a thin face. He was wearing a blue sweatshirt, a yellow T-shirt, maroon sweat pants and a black bandana covering his hair.

Sterling Heights Police Lt. Michael Reese said that this suspect may be the same suspect that is being sought of other bank robberies around Macomb County.
