All pieces exhibited are original works by local artists in any medium and must fall within a 12-inch-by-12 inch cubed dimension.

Jurors for the 12-by-12 show are Annette McGruder and Isabelle Owens. McGruder is a fiber arts artist and has a bachelor of arts degree from Wayne State University. She has had her work shown in many galleries in Michigan. Owens studied art at The Center for Creative Studies in Detroit and at Wayne State University. She has won awards for her work in oils and has had her work displayed in galleries in Michigan, Ohio and Illinois. Owens is also a jewelry designer, creating jewelry for clients in Michigan and California.

Awards will be given to artists for first, second and third place.

Starkweather Art Center is located at 219 North Main St. in Romeo. Hours are Thursday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call 752-5700.
