A tentative agreement has reportedly been reached between the Warren Consolidated Schools teachers union and Board of Education, but no details have been finalized.

WCS spokesman Bob Freehan said he anticipates the contract would be on the agenda and up for approval at the next board meeting scheduled for Oct. 15.
Freehan said the teachers would have to vote on the tentative agreement, but he was not certain when that would take place. Warren Education Association President Bob Naski was not available for comment.
The district and teachers union entered into mediation after the teacher contracts expired at the end of August.
Neither side confirmed any particulars of the negotiations, but parents and teachers expressed concern over large class sizes within the district. In addition, concerns have been raised over program and employee cuts since the districts budget for the 2008-09 school year was finalized June 30.
Nearly 100 staff positions were originally cut to combat a projected $10.4 million budget shortfall, but some were later reinstated.
Even though the district had more than 100 students new to the district this year and received additional funds from the State School Aid Fund per pupil, WCS is still facing budget issues.
